The Waterloo Presbytery Council/UPFund is administering a grant on behalf of the former congregation of Eden Mills United Church.

Projects that support innovative ministry in Communities of Faith in the Guelph area* are eligible (i.e. youth engagement, seniors, digital ministry outreach, Indigenous outreach, etc.)

Communities of Faith will be asked to provide an accountability report of how the funds have been used and their impact.

  1. The UPFund will support up to 80 per cent of the project costs, to a maximum of $5,000.
  2. To be eligible, any outstanding grant projects must be completed and an evaluation form received, and/or any loans must be paid up-to-date.
  3. A Community of Faith may receive up to $10,000 in grants (ministry and capital) in a 12-month period.
  4. Available funds may be limited, and an application does not guarantee that your project will be selected.
  5. Preference will be given to first-time applicants and applicants that have not received grants in the past 12 months.
  6. Funding will not be provided for core functions of the church (i.e. pastoral care, stewardship, Sunday School, music, administration, etc.) or regular salary or benefits (i.e. Minister, youth minister, office administrator).
However, incremental staff costs related to the project may be eligible (i.e. Minister moving from 0.5 FTE to 0.75 FTE).
