Are you looking for an opportunity to benefit the United Church of Canada in your area?

The Waterloo Presbytery Extension Council (WPEC) is in need of Board members.

Since 1956, the Extension Council has provided loans for building and renovating churches. The church’s needs are changing, and the WPEC will be providing missional grants as well as capital loans to support the mission of the United Church.

As a Director, you will have the opportunity to:

• Develop policies and procedures to benefit local communities of faith.
• Review and applications for loans and grants from congregations.
• Help the WPEC articulate its mission and vision.
• Determine how to invest the WPEC’s resources most effectively.
• Spread the word that the WPEC is open for business.

Directors meet approximately 4-6 times per year as a Board. Each director serves on a working committee. The majority of meetings are held virtually via Zoom.

The WPEC is working to put its financial resources to the best possible use.
